Step 1: Bring in your award voucher to get it activated
A day or two after you submit the application, they should send you an email "Approved application Option..." with the award amount listed. On this email there is an award number that needs to be activated by an authorized dealer within 30 days. Award numbers can only be activated once. To do this, print off or forward us the email with the award number. Then, come to our Logan Showroom. We will need the award form, a signature, and a proof of I.D. We will then be able to activate your award number.
Step 2: Decide on a model and schedule an installation date.
If you have a fireplace or stove insert, we will need to know the height and width of your fireplace. Measurements do not need to be exact. Then, stop by our showroom and bring those measurements and a picture or two of your fireplace or stove so we can help you select a model that will work for you and together, we will schedule a time to install it. If you do not have gas line inside your fireplace or to where your wood stove is, we can run that gas line for you. Call or email us so we can schedule a time to come by your home and measure for the gas line.
Step 3: Getting electrical power to where your new fireplace or stove will go
All of the gas appliances that qualify for this program are required to have a "smart" pilot light system. This means the pilot light turns on automatically with power rather than manually. As well, many people want a fan and remote with their appliance. For these reasons, you need to have power available to your fireplace or stove. You have two options. The first option is to run a short electrical cord out the front side of the fireplace. The second is to hire an electrician to install a standard 110v metal outlet inside your fireplace, giving it a clean look. It is recommend that the electrician comes prior to us installing the insert. We recommend Gwen's Electric as an electrician you can hire. Her phone number is 435-230-0693.
